Removable Insulation Covers for HVAC Systems and Commercial Buildings
All Temp Soft Covers, LLC designs and manufactures removable insulation covers for HVAC systems in commercial buildings such as hospitals, office buildings and schools. In a mechanical room, the valves, strainers, pumps and fittings are usually left bare because they need service, and that's where heat gets lost and hot surfaces stay exposed. We build a custom removable cover for each one that insulates it and comes off for maintenance. We're based in Blaine, Washington, serving Western Washington and shipping nationwide, including to Alaska.
Quick answer: Send photos, sizes, part numbers and operating temperatures. The owner walks you or your crew through measuring by phone or video call. We build the covers and ship them, ready for your facilities team or mechanical contractor to install.
HVAC equipment we make covers for
-
Valves and valve assemblies on heating and HVAC piping (see valve and flange insulation jackets)
-
Pipe fittings, elbows and flanges (see removable pipe insulation jackets)
-
Pumps
-
Boilers and boiler piping
-
Heat exchangers
-
Outdoor valves and fittings that need freeze protection
Why commercial buildings use removable insulation covers
-
Personnel protection. Covers help protect maintenance staff from hot valve bodies and fittings in tight mechanical rooms.
-
Heat conservation and energy savings. Insulating the bare components on an otherwise insulated system reduces heat loss.
-
Maintenance access. Facilities staff can take a cover off, service the valve or pump, and put it back on, with nothing cut or thrown away.
-
Freeze protection. Our gray silicone outer cloth is made for outdoor components in freezing weather (ratings below).
-
Noise reduction around pumps and equipment.
-
A clean, professional finish in the mechanical room.
Specifications
-
Outdoor and freeze protection: Grey silicone cloth. Gray outer cloth -40°F to 450°F continuous, 500°F max; used over inner insulation rated 1,000°F continuous, 1,200°F max.
-
Indoor mechanical rooms: Tan cloth, inner and outer layers. Indoor use; not made for outdoor weather.
-
High-temperature build (boiler and hot lines): Grey silicone cloth outer, stainless wire mesh hot face, E-glass needled mat core. Inner insulation 1,000°F continuous / 1,200°F max; gray outer cloth 450°F continuous / 500°F max.
-
Fastening: Straps and buckles, lacing hooks or hook-and-loop. Chosen for the part, where it sits and how often it comes off.
-
Fabrication: NCCER-certified fabricators. Custom designs, standard sizes, OEM manufacturing.
-
Lead time: Small projects up to 2 weeks; larger projects 3–6 weeks. Depends on complexity.
How ordering works
-
Send photos and details. Include each component, the pipe size, valve type and size, part numbers, operating temperatures, indoor or outdoor location, and quantities. Drawings or specs help on large buildings.
-
Measure with the owner. The owner walks your team through measuring by phone or video call, hand in hand, so every cover fits. See our measuring guide.
-
We build it in Blaine, WA.
-
We ship it anywhere in the U.S., including Alaska.
-
Your team installs it. We manufacture only and don't do installation. Mechanical and insulation contractors can use us as their fabricator.
HVAC insulation cover FAQ
Do you make removable insulation covers for HVAC valves and piping?
Yes. We design and manufacture removable insulation covers for HVAC systems in commercial buildings such as hospitals, office buildings and schools, including valves, fittings, pumps and piping.
Can HVAC covers be used outdoors?
Yes. For outdoor use and freeze protection, we recommend grey silicone cloth, rated -40°F to 450°F continuous (500°F max), over an inner insulation rated 1,000°F continuous (1,200°F max). Our tan cloth is for indoor use only.
Can facilities staff remove the covers for maintenance?
Yes. That's the point of a removable cover. It comes off for service and goes back on afterward.
Do you work with mechanical contractors?
Yes. We manufacture covers for contractors who handle the installation, and we offer custom designs, standard sizes and OEM manufacturing for B2B partners.
Where do you ship HVAC insulation covers?
We're based in Blaine, Washington, and serve Bellingham, Seattle, Anacortes and Western Washington. We ship nationwide, including Alaska.
