Marine insulation for Bellingham
Bellingham is a working waterfront. Squalicum Harbor, on the north shore of Bellingham Bay, is home port to more than 1,400 commercial and pleasure boats, including a large charter fleet, and Fairhaven is home to the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. Engine rooms on these boats see a lot of hours, and a lot of heat. All Temp Soft Covers, LLC builds custom removable insulation covers for those engine rooms, and we're based just up I-5 in Blaine, here in Whatcom County.

Every cover is built to your measurements, not pulled off a shelf. For hot surfaces that also see weather or washdown, our gray silicone outer cloth is rated 450°F continuous (500°F max), and the inner insulation underneath is rated 1,000°F continuous (1,200°F max). We'll confirm the right build for your exhaust on the call.

Why removable insulation covers
On a fishing boat or charter vessel, the exhaust, turbo and valves all have to be inspected and serviced. Permanent wrap and lagging get cut off and rarely go back on right. A removable cover comes off when the mechanic needs access and goes back on afterward, so crew stay protected from hot surfaces and heat stays out of the engine room.
How quoting and measuring works
You don't need to bring the boat anywhere. Send us whatever you have: photos of the part, measurements, engine or part numbers. Service area and shipping
We're a manufacturer, so we don't do installation. Covers are shipped to you in Bellingham, ready for your crew or mechanic to put on. We give you measuring help remotely, by phone or video. We also ship anywhere in Washington, nationwide and to Alaska, which helps if your boat works up north for the season.
