Removable Valve and Flange Insulation Jackets

All Temp Soft Covers, LLC manufactures custom removable insulation jackets for valves, valve assemblies, flanges, strainers and pumps. Valves and flanges are often the parts left bare when a pipe system gets insulated, because they need service. They're also some of the biggest sources of heat loss and burn risk on a hot line. A removable valve jacket fixes that. It insulates the valve and comes off when someone needs to get to the packing, bonnet or bolts. We build jackets for industrial plants, commercial buildings, mechanical contractors and boats, and we ship nationwide from Blaine, Washington, including to Alaska.

Quick answer: Send photos, the valve or flange size, part numbers and the line temperature. The owner walks you through measuring by phone or video call. We build each jacket to fit and ship it, ready for your crew or contractor to install.

What we make insulation jackets for

  • Valves: gate, globe, ball, check and control valves, and valve assemblies

  • Steam valves and other hot-service valves on high-temperature lines

  • Flanges and flanged connections

  • Strainers and fittings (see removable pipe insulation jackets)

  • Pumps and other equipment with odd shapes

  • Freeze protection jackets for valves and fittings in cold, outdoor locations

We fabricate from your measurements, drawings, specifications and photos, whether you need one valve jacket or a jacket for every valve on a project.

Why insulate valves and flanges with removable jackets?

  • Personnel protection. A bare valve body on a hot line is a burn hazard. A jacket helps keep surfaces safer to work around.

  • Heat conservation and energy savings. An uninsulated valve or flange lets heat escape from a line that's otherwise insulated.

  • Easy maintenance. Valves get worked on. A removable jacket comes off for packing adjustments, bolt checks or replacement and goes back on, while permanent insulation gets torn off and thrown away.

  • Freeze protection. Our gray silicone outer cloth is made for outdoor valves and fittings in freezing weather (ratings below).

  • A clean, professional finish that matches the rest of the insulated system.

Specifications

  • Outer cloth, outdoor and freeze protection: Grey silicone cloth. Gray outer cloth -40°F to 450°F continuous, 500°F max; used over inner insulation rated 1,000°F continuous, 1,200°F max.

  • Outer cloth, indoor: Tan cloth. Indoor use; not made for outdoor weather.

  • High-temperature build (e.g. steam and hot process lines): Grey silicone cloth outer, stainless wire mesh hot face, E-glass needled mat core. Inner insulation 1,000°F continuous / 1,200°F max; gray outer cloth 450°F continuous / 500°F max.

  • Insulation core: E-glass needled mat, no chemical binders. Rated 1,000°F continuous, 1,200°F max (inner insulation); the standard fill for valves, flanges and pumps.

  • Fastening: Straps and buckles, lacing hooks or hook-and-loop. Chosen for the part, where it sits and how often it comes off.

  • Fabrication: NCCER-certified fabricators. Custom designs, standard sizes, OEM manufacturing.

  • Lead time: Small projects up to 2 weeks; larger projects 3–6 weeks. Depends on complexity.

How ordering works

  1. Send the details. Include photos of each valve or flange, the pipe size, valve type and size, part numbers, the line temperature and how many you need. Drawings or specs help on bigger projects.

  2. Measure with the owner. The owner walks you or your crew through measuring by phone or video call, hand in hand, so each jacket fits the valve body, bonnet, handwheel stem and flange bolts. Our measuring guide shows what to measure.

  3. We build it. Jackets are made to those measurements in Blaine, WA.

  4. We ship it nationwide, including Alaska. Contact us about international orders.

  5. Your team installs it. We manufacture only and don't do installation, which makes us a good fit as the fabricator for insulation and mechanical contractors.

For contractors and B2B partners

Mechanical and insulation contractors who install can use All Temp Soft Covers as their removable-jacket fabricator. We offer custom designs, standard sizes and OEM manufacturing for B2B partners, as well as single orders for individual customers.

Valve and flange jacket FAQ

Do you make removable insulation jackets for steam valves?

Yes. We build removable valve jackets for high-temperature lines, including steam. Our high-temperature builds are made with an inner insulation rated 1,000°F continuous (1,200°F max), using an E-glass needled mat core, a stainless wire mesh hot face and a grey silicone cloth outer layer. The gray outer cloth itself is rated -40°F to 450°F continuous (500°F max).

Can I order just one valve jacket?

Yes. We make anything from a single valve cover to multiple jackets for a larger piping or equipment project.

What do you need to quote a valve jacket?

Photos, the valve type and size, pipe size, part numbers, the line temperature and the quantity. The owner then walks you through any measurements by phone or video call.

Do you make flange insulation covers?

Yes. We make removable covers for flanges and flanged connections, sized to the flange and its bolts so they come off for inspection.

Do you install valve jackets?

No. We focus only on manufacturing. Jackets ship ready for your crew or contractor to install, nationwide and to Alaska.
