Removable Pipe Insulation Jackets and Industrial Insulation Blankets

All Temp Soft Covers, LLC manufactures custom removable insulation jackets and blankets for piping and industrial equipment. That includes pipe runs, elbows and fittings, heat exchangers, pumps, tanks, vessels, boiler piping, diesel generators and other equipment with shapes a standard insulation product won't fit. Each jacket is built to your equipment's dimensions, insulates it, and comes off when the equipment needs inspection or service. We cover high- and low-temperature applications and ship nationwide from Blaine, Washington, including to Alaska.

Quick answer: Send photos, measurements, drawings or specs, the operating temperature and the quantity. The owner walks you through measuring by phone or video call. We fabricate the jackets and ship them, ready for your crew or contractor to install.

What we make removable insulation for

  • Piping systems: straight runs, 90° and 45° elbows, tees and pipe fittings

  • Valves, valve assemblies and flanges (see valve and flange insulation jackets)

  • Pumps

  • Heat exchangers

  • Industrial vessels and tanks

  • Boilers and boiler piping

  • Diesel generators and exhaust systems (see generator exhaust insulation blankets)

  • Marine equipment and engine-room piping

  • Custom and non-standard shapes

A removable insulation blanket goes by many names: insulation jacket, insulation cover, insulation pad, soft cover. They're all custom-made covers that come off when the equipment underneath needs work.

Why removable instead of permanent insulation?

Permanent insulation works on pipe nobody touches. On anything that gets inspected, serviced or repaired, it gets cut away and usually isn't replaced. Removable jackets:

  • Allow access for maintenance and inspection without damaging the insulation

  • Reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency

  • Protect people from hot surfaces (personnel protection)

  • Fit complex shapes and non-standard geometry

  • Can be reused again and again

  • Give a clean, professional appearance

  • Help reduce noise from equipment

Specifications

  • Low-temperature and freeze protection, outdoor: Grey silicone cloth. Gray outer cloth -40°F to 450°F continuous, 500°F max; used over inner insulation rated 1,000°F continuous, 1,200°F max.

  • Indoor and engine-room use: Tan cloth, inner and outer layers. Not made for outdoor weather.

  • High-temperature build: Grey silicone cloth outer, stainless wire mesh hot face, E-glass needled mat core. Inner insulation 1,000°F continuous / 1,200°F max; gray outer cloth 450°F continuous / 500°F max.

  • Insulation core: E-glass needled mat, no chemical binders. Rated 1,000°F continuous, 1,200°F max (inner insulation).

  • Fastening: Straps and buckles, lacing hooks or hook-and-loop. Chosen for the part, where it sits and how often it comes off.

  • Fabrication: NCCER-certified fabricators. Custom designs, standard sizes, OEM manufacturing.

  • Lead time: Small projects up to 2 weeks; larger projects 3–6 weeks. Depends on complexity.

How ordering works

  1. Send what you have. Include photos of the equipment, measurements and dimensions, drawings or specs, the quantity, and operating temperatures. For piping, our quote form asks for the pipe size, circumference, centers for every cutout, and heel and throat measurements on 90° elbows.

  2. Measure with the owner. The owner walks you through measuring by phone or video call, hand in hand, so every jacket fits. Our measuring guide explains the basics.

  3. We build it in Blaine, WA, to your measurements.

  4. We ship it anywhere in the United States, including Alaska. Contact us about international shipping.

  5. Your crew or contractor installs it. We focus only on manufacturing.

Pipe insulation jacket FAQ

What is a removable pipe insulation jacket?

It's a custom-made insulation cover that wraps a section of pipe, an elbow or a fitting and fastens in place, so it can be taken off for inspection or repair and put back on. It's also called an insulation blanket, cover or pad.

Can you insulate heat exchangers, tanks and pumps?

Yes. We make removable insulation covers for heat exchangers, pumps, industrial vessels, tanks and other equipment with unusual shapes, built from your measurements, drawings and photos.

Do you handle both high- and low-temperature applications?

Yes. Our high-temperature builds use an inner insulation rated 1,000°F continuous (1,200°F max) under a gray outer cloth rated -40°F to 450°F continuous (500°F max). For freeze protection and moderate temperatures, that same gray outer cloth handles cold down to -40°F.

How long does a custom pipe jacket order take?

Small projects take up to 2 weeks. Larger projects take 3 to 6 weeks, depending on complexity.

Do you install industrial insulation jackets?

No. We manufacture only. Jackets ship ready for your crew or contractor to install, nationwide and to Alaska.
